Shipping Coordinator: department leader, full-time with benefits

The Shipping Coordinator must communicate effectively with our Packaging Staff, Sales Staff, and preferred carriers to efficiently coordinate outgoing pallets and packages across the country. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with excellent attention to detail who enjoys solving puzzles. Working proactively to maximize efficiency and accuracy within deadlines is key. The ability to work in a cold environment, do some heavy lifting, and use a computer proficiently is required. Experience with inventory management programs and shipping software is preferred. On-the-job training is provided.

Inside Sales + Customer Service

The successful candidate is a multitask-er with exceptional attention to detail who reliably meets deadlines. Prioritizing the customer experience is always required on the front end, even while coordinating the most cost-effective and efficient order fulfillment and delivery method on the back end.

Excellent communication skills and organizational skills are needed to thrive in this fast-paced, dynamic work flow. The position requires working pro-actively to avoid snags in order fulfillment as well as the ability to respond to any unexpected issues with creative solutions that still meet goals.

The ideal candidate understands how to put the customer first and has an unwavering cheerful, helpful, and positive demeanor. This position requires representing Smoking Goose with retail and wholesale customers over the phone, in writing, and in person.

Working closely with Smoking Goose’s sales team and order fulfillment team, the Inside Sales + Customer Service Representative uses computer programs to enter wholesale and retail orders, manage inventory, and produce shipping labels. Computer literacy is needed, and applicants with experience using inventory management software and shipping software are encouraged to apply.
