Two Production Positions: Sausage Maker, Meat Cutter
Prior experience is preferable but not required, and on-the-job training is provided. Candidates must have an eye for consistency and quality as well as the ability to work in a cold environment and so some heavy lifting.
Work daytime hours with evenings, weekends, and holidays off. Full-time positions include health and retirement benefits plus perks.
Practice old-school, by-hand butchering skills as part of Smoking Goose’s Production Team in our USDA-inspected meatery. Now hiring for two different roles: Meat Cutter and Sausage Maker.
Meat Cutter: Duties include cutting meat by hand using traditional seam butchery techniques, as well as trimming out portions for specific recipes. Training is provided.
Sausage Maker: Duties include seasoning, grinding, and stuffing sausages using professional equipment. Training is provided.

Charcuterie Sales Representative
Be the face of Smoking Goose in enhancing existing relationships and establishing new collaborations with chefs and purchasers in restaurants, specialty markets, delis, wine bars, coffee shops, food trucks, bakeries, and more. Use your excellent communication and organization skills to increase sales through networking, prospecting new accounts, marketing products and services, and strengthening partner relationships with attentive and proactive wholesale customer service.
Experience in sales and proficiency in software tools including inventory systems, electronic spreadsheets, and customer relationship management is required, and the working schedule includes spending about 30% of the time traveling with overnight stays for customer visits and events. The successful candidate thrives as part of a sales team and consistently demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude. Whether communicating over the phone, in writing, or in person, the Charcuterie Sales Representative is friendly, professional, and goes above and beyond to meet and exceed wholesale customers’ needs.
Meeting financial sales goals and expanding Smoking Goose’s customer network is a regular requirement of the position. The successful candidate does this by multitasking effectively even under pressure and consistently meeting deadlines. She or he demonstrates confidence and connects with her or his audience while sharing Smoking Goose’s products through sales materials, tastings, presentations, and more.
