MEAT CUTTER / Sausage & Salumi Maker: full time with benefits + training provided
Although on-the-job training is provided, Prior culinary, cooking, or butchering experience is needed. Candidates must have an eye for consistency and quality as well as the ability to work in a refrigerated environment and do some heavy lifting.
Work daytime hours—off evenings, weekends, and holidays. Full-time positions include paid time off, matching 401K, health insurance, staff meals, employee discounts, and more. Starting wage is $16+ per hour and more with applicable previous experience.
Practice old-school butchering plus sausage making, ham making, and more as part of Smoking Goose’s Production Team in our USDA-inspected meatery.
Please note, this is not a slaughtering position but rather a charcuterie making position. Duties include cutting meat by hand using traditional seam butchery techniques as well as trimming out portions for specific recipes and using charcuterie production equipment for sausage stuffing, ham brining, bowl cutting, and more.
